Brownsea Island Campout

Location: Northwest River Park (Chesapeale, VA)
Cost: $30 per person
In 1907, Lord Baden-Powell organized the first Scout Camp at Brownsea Island with activities including camping, observation, woodcraft, chivalry, lifesaving and patriotism.
At the Troop 16 Brownsea Island Campout, Scouts will work on basic Scout Skills, including first aid, campsite setup, cooking, woods tools, knots, orienteering, nature, outdoor ethics, hiking, and citizenship. They will have the opportunity to complete many requirements for the Scout, Tenderfoot, 2nd Class, and 1st Class rank. Programs are led by older Scouts with Adults supervising. Scouts will also have time to games, fishing, and to explore camp.
